New Car!

I'm VERY excited that Hubby and I were able to purchase a "new" car this weekend. It's a 2012 with 45k miles, but I don't mind that. I will most likely keep it for 7-10 years anyway. My last car was a '99 and I bought it in 2002! My excitement of the new purchase is tempered somewhat by a crappy post-sale experience involving an owner's manual. I have a complaint in to Ford because of it and I really hope to get this situation resolved without having to be nasty with either the dealer or the company because I am IN LOVE with my new car!

It is a Ford Escape and a major change from my Mercury Sable. I'm glad though. I wanted up higher and to still have cargo space. I have both! Bonus features we scored include a back-up camera and auto-park. I haven't tried this feature out yet. I don't have any reason to yet. In any event, I will be blogging about my experience (whether it turns out for better or worse) once I see if I can get it resolved. I really hate to say anything bad if it is unwarranted.

Boba began when two parents decided to leave their hometown of Bolder, CO, and travel the world with their two kids in tow. They took off with only a few personal belongings, a few thousand dollars, two backpacks, two kids, and a dream. They wanted to live their lives and experience freedom togetherWith an amazing idea and determination, the first Boba Wrap was sold out of rural Slovenia and before long the company had taken off. Starting the business was no easy task as the adventurous couple behind Boba traveled the world, but they made it happen and before long Boba turned into a well known and extremely popular brand of baby carriers.

Boba carries many types of carriers from wraps to soft structured carriers, regular and organic cotton, and their newest addition, the Boba Air, is their lightest carrier to date. I (Alex at Mommys Craft Obsession) had the opportunity to review one of Boba's Organic 3G carriers, which is exactly like the Boba 3G just made from Organic Cotton, and I absolutely fell in love. I've always been big on babywearing and thought I would never love a baby carrier like I loved the one I previously owned, but the Boba quickly became my favorite and go to carrier that I recommend to everyone.

#DaddyScrubs T-Shirt #Review and Giveaway!

Kennady has been so wonderful to work with and I am pleased to be able to provide another review of the products from Daddy Scrubs! This time it is the Vintage Tee Blue Edgy. Hubby has worn this shirt at least once a week since we received it. It arrived already super soft and comfy-feeling! The color and texture of this shirt has not faded or gotten fuzzy or changed at all even though we have washed it at least half a dozen times.

I really like the logo on the back and how nicely it stands out. Sorry for the messy sink, I took a pic of Hubby while he was doing dishes. LOL. I also love the footprints on the bottom of the shirt that is a signature of Daddy Scrubs as well.

On the front, you can see the white writing (I would take a better pic, but it is in the wash...AGAIN). The white simply says "Daddy" and following is an all-encompassing definition of what a daddy is. It is so beautiful!

The crew neck is very comfy even on my big guy. Also, the tail is long enough that Hubby can tuck it in without a problem or having to worry about the back coming un-tucked when he sits down.

This shirt would definitely make a great gift for Father's Day or a first-time daddy! I know Hubby doesn't look thrilled, but he really does love this shirt! He is just a very reluctant model. LOL. Thankfully, he is a good sport and puts up with me!

Kennady has generously offered to provide 1 lucky reader with their very own T-shirt in choice of size! Just fill out the Rafflecopter form below!

#Intelligender Gender Prediction Test #Review #NBFluffNStuff

This review has been long time coming! I had planned to do this review back in November after I hit about 11 weeks. Unfortunately, we lost that pregnancy just after the 11 week mark. The good news is that I am now able to do the review! That's right...I'm pregnant!! And I am beyond thrilled that Intelligender was willing to work with me!

A little background: I first found out about Intelligender as a member on the What to Expect When You're Expecting forums. Hubby and I actually waited until after our 20-week ultrasound, hoping we would find out what we were having at that point. Of course, we have a VERY stubborn little girl. Fuss refused to "show" her parts. She even went as far as covering herself with her hand at one point! We laughed, but admittedly we were disappointed. Enter Intelligender. We found our first Intelligender test at our local Rite-Aid. So, we bought it...we figured we didn't have anything to lose at that point. When I took the test, it came out with a GIRL result! :D We weren't sure whether to believe it or not, but it was fun.

Test bottle, syringe, and instructions.
Fast forward 3 years: The kit literally just comes with a bottle of powder with a color chart on the bottom and a syringe.  Actually, the only thing that changed in the past 3 years for this was the fact that the first one had a hole on the top and this one had a hole with a rubber valve. "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" right ?

The instructions are SUPER simple! Use first morning urine (um, obviously I didn't photograph that part!), pee in a cup like a Dixie cup or something else disposable, draw up the correct amount in the syringe, and inject in the test bottle. Swish. Wait.

Left, you can see the powder that makes the magic of the test along with the color strip for comparing your sample with.

So, how exactly does it work?

From Intelligender's website: IntelliGender's Gender Prediction Test™ is a simple urine analysis similar to the pregnancy test you took a few weeks ago.  It uses first morning urine and a proprietary mix of chemicals which reacts with a combination of hormones to indicate the gender of your baby.  It can be performed as early as 10 weeks of pregnancy (six weeks from the first day of the missed period). It is an easy test to perform and provides quick results in-home so the news can be shared right away.

Not a clue! But I do know that the test was accurate for Fuss. I can hope it is accurate this time around and we will be able to find out in a few more weeks what Baby #2 is. I really like that I could test so early (10 weeks, 3 days) and get a pretty good guess as to what we're carrying this time - Intelligender's site shows 2 studies that estimate an 85% to almost-90% accuracy rate!

The best part? Valerie has agreed to provide 1 lucky reader an Intelligender test of their own to try! All you need to do is enter on the Rafflecopter form below! Be sure to follow Intelligender on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, YouTube, Flickr, or the Intelligender Blog and thank them for sponsoring!
